Giant slalom: St. Anton am Arlberg invites you to probably the longest slalom race in the world. St. Anton am Arlberg is not stingy with superlatives: The winter sports metropolis presents a giant slalom in XXL format at the beginning of the coming winter. Everyone is eligible to enter the 3000 metres long race if they believe themselves capable of the challenge. The breathtaking 3 km "Everyone’s Race" is on Saturday, December 1st 2007.

A new ski show era breaks in St. Anton am Arlberg with the start of the year's winter season. Under the title "Schneetreiben - The Snow must go on" the Tourism Association and the Ski School Arlberg are christening a spectacular concept for the weekly demo show.
The first show takes place December 30th, 2007 and from January 9th, 2008 on every Wednesday at 9.00 pm. Admission is free.

A highlight for pop fans right at the beginning of the season: The cult ski hut "Mooserwirt" is the place to be for RTL 2 filming of "Aprés ski hits" on December 7th and 8th.
When the pop stars and charts toppers present the Aprés skis hits 2008 on the RTL 2 stage in the Mooserwirt infront of the TV cameras, be sure to be one of the spectators and disco dancers. Free Entrance!

December 21/22 see the worlds best skiers meeting in St. Anton am Arlberg: On the programme are the Womens World Cup downhill and the super combination. This event is particularly spectator friendly as two competitions take place on one day: a short downhill as well as a slalom.

Classic music lovers are inspired at the New Year concert on January 3rd, 2008.

The Ambassade Orchestra Vienna under the direction of
our honorary citizen Prof. Dr. Rudolf Streicher will give a concert at the WM-Hall in the ARLBERG-well.com.

2008 starts with the advantageous powder snow weeks from January 5th to 26th. During this time and even into February, following the success of Ladies Week, St. Anton am Arlberg dedicates more weeks to women from January 7th to February 2nd with the motto, "Ladies first". Every female guest can pick up their personal copy of the "Ladies First" handbook from the Tourist Office, which includes goodies, vouchers and offers. Depending on wish, desire and mood the ladies can choose from among other things: Ladies drinks, try out the latest Ladies ski model, ski service but also yoga, diet advice and a multitude of relaxing wellness offers.

The Intersport SpringFestival is on the St. Antoner calendar of events from April 15th to 19th. Holiday-makers can discover the slopes with a local guide on these days. Then depending on desire and ability, onto the firn slopes or to the mogul slopes, skiing to your heart's content.
The Austrian ski instructor and demo championships take place during Spring Festivals once again. Four competitions stand on the programme: the Austrian ski instructor championships, big Air contest for skis and snowboard, a Freeride contest as well as the Austrian ski demo championships. These demo championships are a visual pleasure for the spectators, watching as the best 6 man team perform perfect synchronized swings namely to self-chosen music.

The spring sporting highlight - "The White Thrill", - several hundred skiers, Snowboarders, Bigfooters and Telemarkers meet on the Valluga at 2650 meters for the mass start.
