St. Anton am Arlberg, the venue of the 2001 Alpine world skiing championships is located 1,300 m above sea level at the foot of the Arlberg Pass. This charming tyrolean village is a lively combination of tradition and progress. From the start of December to the end of April, skiers and snowboarders from all over the world enjoy the thrills and spills of some 260 km of signposted downhill runs and 180 km of powder snow pistes. 80 mountain cableways and lifts help you explore the incomparable Arlberg winter...

And in summertime? Well, from June to the end of September you can go on incredible tours of the Verwall and Lechtal Alps. The village is beautifully decorated with flowers and hosts many traditional and sporting events... Treat yourself to that feelgood factor at delightful boarding houses or in the elegant 5-star hotel, in ski huts or the gourmet restaurant.
